Frank Dunphy

Frank Dunphy (b. Portrane, Ireland) is a business manager, an entrepreneur and an accountant. He represents the interests of contemporary artists Damien Hirst, Tracey Emin, Jake and Dinos Chapman and actor Ray Winstone.[1]

Early life in Ireland

Dunphy's father was a male nurse. His mother was a political activist and a member of Cumann Na Mann.

Career

Dunphy moved to England in the early 1950s and began his career in representation advising performers including Julie Mendez and her Performing Python, Coco the Clown, Harry Worth, The Nitwits, and Roy Castle.[2] Dunphy charges his clients ten percent of all sales/income.[3]

Meeting Hirst

Dunphy has represented artist Damien Hirst since 1995.[4] He has claimed that he was first asked to represent artist Damien Hirst by Hirst's mother, a claim which has been disputed by Hirst.[5]
